**GRMN Corolla offers more torque, retuned suspension, AWD system and steering, aero body kit, and unique two-seater cabin**
**Limited numbers to go on sale in Australia from 2027**
**Tuned and tested at the Nürburgring circuit in Germany and developed from Japanese Super Taikyu race series experience**

Toyota has unveiled the ultimate performance GRMN Corolla, designed and engineered with direct input from the brand’s involvement in motorsport.

Developed from Toyota’s participation in the Japanese Super Taikyu race series and honed at the famed German Nürburgring circuit, the two-seater GRMN Corolla is set to go on sale in Australia in 2027.

Compared to the already high-performance GR Corolla, the GRMN Corolla offers 8Nm more torque, retuned suspension with bespoke monotube shock absorbers, optimised AWD control, exclusive exterior aero components, and a cabin dedicated to high-performance driving. These upgrades complement a 40kg kerb weight reduction compared to the manual GR Corolla.

Toyota Australia Vice President Sales, Marketing and Franchise Operations John Pappas said the new GRMN Corolla represents one of the purest expressions to date of the GR brand, fusing GR production cars with its motorsport DNA.

“Under the direction of our Chairman Akio Toyoda – who races under the pseudonym Morizo - the GR brand was designed to create high-performance sports cars using the knowledge and experience we gain from motorsport and this new GRMN Corolla was honed on one of the world’s most demanding race circuits, the Nürburgring,” Mr Pappas said.

“This is truly our GR philosophy in action, and has produced an astonishing high-performance driver’s car that is as at home on the racetrack as it is on the road,” he said.

Morizo’s directive was that any car that bears the GRMN acronym (GAZOO Racing tuned by the Meister of Nürburgring) should be able to “run the Nürburgring properly” and the new GRMN Corolla underwent substantial testing on that circuit.

Aero and suspension components were developed through Toyota’s participation in the Super Taikyu race series in a hydrogen-fuelled GR Corolla and extensive validation was carried out using the latest driving simulators.

Externally, the GRMN Corolla gains bonnet and fender ducts, a front side spoiler and a large rear wing featuring a five-step adjustment mechanism to provide optimal downforce, depending on the environment and driver input.

Customers will be able to choose between two exterior finishes: a matte black, or a new khaki colour, the latter being exclusive to the Australian and North American markets.

Under the bonnet, the 1.6-litre turbocharged three-cylinder has been retuned to deliver additional torque taking the total to 408Nm, while peak power remains the same at 221kW.

To deliver exceptional handling in racetrack conditions, the front and rear suspension uses dedicated monotube shock absorbers with rebound springs and the car is fitted with 10mm wider Michelin1 Pilot Sport Cup 2 high-performance tyres.

The AWD control has also been optimised to deliver drive torque where and when it is needed and the electric power steering has been retuned to provide improved feedback during high-G cornering.

Inside, the two unique heavily-bolstered front bucket seats  offer superb lateral support during high-speed cornering and is positioned lower to enable the driver to wear a race helmet.

Given its race-bred concept, the cockpit is focussed on enhancing driver concentration and features a unique instrument panel and an array of GRMN design touches.

Further details on the GRMN Corolla including additional spec and pricing will be made available closer to its arrival in Australia
